JUBA, South Africa–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Rival Candy Company (RCC) and its parent company, Fruits and Vegetables International (FV), today announced a merger to create the world’s largest fruit and vegetable company, RCC Group.
The merger will create RCC and FV, which together currently have about 3.5 million employees worldwide, with a combined global workforce of nearly 2.5 billion people.
The new company will continue to be called RCC.
RCC will continue as an independent company, and will remain a wholly owned subsidiary of FV.
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018, with an expected revenue of approximately $1.1 billion.
The combined company will be led by CEO Richard Schumacher, who will lead RCC as president.
The combination of the two companies will generate an annual revenue of more than $1 billion, according to the announcement.
Rcc has already become one of the largest companies in the world in terms of revenues, with annual sales of $1,700 billion in 2019.
FV has already been one of South Africa’s biggest fruit and veggie manufacturers, and has a market value of nearly $200 billion.
RCCC has already grown its operations and expanded its product offerings to over 50 countries and territories around the world.
The company is headquartered in the United Kingdom, with operations in the U.S. and U.K. Ranchers, fruit and vegetables retailers, food and beverage retailers and foodservice manufacturers are some of the RCC’s key clients.
RANCER, the Rancher Group, has an annual operating turnover of more of $2.2 billion, with $1 million of its total revenue coming from global markets, according the announcement, with approximately 80 percent of its global turnover coming from the U to the U S. The RUC Group has more than 40 companies, with more than 2,000 employees in over 150 countries.
